- Your red checkers move down the screen, your opponent black checkers move up the screen
- You can only move diagonally: one square if you are moving to an empty spot or two if you can jump over a black one to an empty spot
- If you can make another jump over a black one after the first jump you can keep doing this until you can no longer jump over a black checker
- Each black piece you jump over gets taken off the board
- Once one of your red pieces reaches the bottom row of the board it becomes a king and can then move diagonally up or down
- You win if you take all of the black pieces before all of your red pieces are taken
